M03 roof extension
Toulouse - Place du BuscaRenovations and additional storeysJune 2024

PROJECT INFORMATION
The project revitalises an old building on Toulouse’s Place du Busca through a discreet timber extension, comprehensive renovation and restoration of heritage features.
A contemporary intervention in an existing building:
Completed in June 2024, the project addresses structural damage, including a roof structure damaged by fire.
The extension creates two bright, dual-aspect two-bedroom apartments while enhancing the existing heritage.
The timber frame reduces loads on the masonry walls.
The design considers the upper floors and staircase together to ensure coherence and durability.
The apartments offer open views across Toulouse’s roofs and bell towers in the evening light.
